Following his 2015 worldwide bestseller Her Last Tomorrow, his psychological thrillers were bought by Thomas & Mercer, an imprint of Amazon Publishing. Prior to the Amazon deal, Her Last Tomorrow sold more than 150,000 copies across all platforms and became one of the bestselling books of the year, reaching the top 10 in the overall Amazon Kindle chart and peaking at number 12 in the combined paperback fiction and non-fiction chart.
His Knight & Culverhouse crime thriller series has sold more than 250,000 copies worldwide, with his Kempston Hardwick mystery books being adapted as audio plays starring some of the biggest names in British TV.
In 2016, the Knight & Culverhouse Box Set reached storewide number 1 in Canada, knocking J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child off the top spot only weeks after Her Last Tomorrow was also number 1 in Canada. The new edition of Her Last Tomorrow also reached storewide number 1 in Australia over Christmas 2016.
During the summer of 2016, two of Adam’s books hit the USA Today bestseller list only weeks apart, making them two of the most-purchased books in the United States over the summer.
In February 2017, Only The Truth became a worldwide bestseller, reaching storewide number 1 at both Amazon US and Amazon UK, making it the bestselling book in the world at that moment in time. The same day, Amazon’s overall Author Rankings placed Adam as the mostly widely read author in the world, with J.K. Rowling in second place.
Libby Whitehouse is Publisher Relationships Manager at BOOKS etc. the independent and family run online bookseller based in the UK. BOOKS etc. launched in 2010 (when the brand was bought from the Borders UK database out of administration), and the website now sees an average of 10,000 visitors per day.
With the annual turnover growing from £6m in 2015 to £8m last year, 2017 is set to see BOOKS etc. reaching £10m annual turnover.
Graduating with a BA in English Literature & Language in 2012, Libby quickly became a well-connected publishing professional within the industry and helped with the launch of rights and licensing platform IPR License, where she was the Account Manager for 4 years to 500+ publishers, as well as literary agents and independent authors. She also launched the IPR Rights Magazine, a publication which now reaches over 1 million book fair visitors worldwide.
Libby has recently moved from rights into bookselling, and in her current role works closely with publishers helping to highlight both the latest titles and backlist bestsellers on booksetc.co.uk.
Taryn Johnston founder and creative director of the FCM Media Group, has been responsible for publishing more than a dozen authors to date and is an expert in marketing, social media platforms, editing and distribution. With a career that began in computer systems’ analysis and programming, Taryn is now a recognised influencer in the field of business marketing and the effective use of social media in Public Relations.
Based in Lincolnshire, she is a regular tutor at the University of Lincoln, a panellist on BBC local radio and is a highly sought-after professional speaker. Leading the FCM Media Group, she is a partner member of the Alliance of Independent Authors and the Professional Speakers Association of the United Kingdom.
Ian Andrew, a native of Northern Ireland, left home at eighteen to join the Royal Air Force. Initially training as an aircraft technician he subsequently served as an Intelligence Officer. Throughout two decades of Service, he had the pleasure of working alongside some “right eejits” that he still feels lucky to call friends. In 2004, he relocated to Western Australia and now has a resident mob of Kangaroos who bounce past his windows each day. They remind him of his previous colleagues.
His first novel, A Time To Every Purpose, an alternative history with a religious twist, was published in 2014, and gained positive critical acclaim. His Wright and Tran series of detective novels was launched with the publication of Face Value in 2015. Flight Path followed in 2016 and the latest, Fall Guys, was published in March 2017. On its release, both A Time To Every Purpose and Face Value re-entered the Amazon bestseller lists.
In 2015, in an effort to assist other independent authors, Ian founded the Book Reality Experience that has helped in the publication of almost a dozen separate titles. He now heads a collaborative team of editors, illustrators and graphic designers spread throughout the UK and Australia. In parallel, he continues to be a facilitator and trainer in the field of leadership and management, is a current partner member of the Alliance of Independent Authors, serves on Ingram Spark’s International Advisory Board, is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Chartered Manager Member of the UK’s Chartered Management Institute.
